Dutch Ambassador termed Taxila stone art as “world class”
“Impressive stone work, really world class”, these comments were noted by Henny Fokel de Vries has been ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands after her visit to Gandhara Art Village Taxila. She visited the art village and took keen interest in various art work on stone created by the local artisans of Taxila who are in creating and carving designs for centuries as their master craftsmanship is known across the world. Mr Zahreer Shah zaildar, Rafeeq Butt and Jarrar Ali Shah was also present on this occasion .

During her visit, Mrs Henny de Vries visited the various galleries of the art village and met with local artisans and lauded their commendable work on stone. Briefing the Dutch envoy, Gandhara Stone Art Village Association Chairman Syed Zaheer Hussain Shah said the art village was established in Taxila by established by Punjab Small Industries Department at the cost of over Rs104.360 million for better promotion and marketing of stone craft being produced by master artisans of the art village. He said that aim of establishment of the village has said the move behind establishing the village near world known Buddhist monastery and stupa dated back to 2nd Century AD known as Mohra Maradu was aimed at mainstreaming the centuries-old skills of craftsmanship of Taxila artisans by utilizing latest computer-based technologies to produce market-oriented products. “This initiative played a pivotal impact on the capacity of the artisans community to produce better quality artifacts especially Gandhara art products,” Mr Shah added. He informed the Dutch envoy the art put a positive impact on the cluster and resultantly the capacity of the artisans’ community to produce better quality artifacts with improved design has been noticed. Sufficient awareness was created about the Gandhara art products through printing of catalogues, Books and participation in exhibitions.

Another scandal hits Federal Board
ISLAMABAD: A new scam in record-keeping of answer sheets of Higher Secondary School Certificates (HSSC) exams has hit the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), the country’s largest education board, which also conducts exams of overseas Pakistani students. Sources in the board said that during the scanning of answer sheets of HSSC papers, some were found to have been allegedly replaced with new ones, a step which raises eyebrows as annual results of HSSC are expected to be announced next month. The sources said that since every page of answer sheets carries a QR code, when replaced sheets reached Information Technology System, the automatic system detected them. There are allegations of replacement of 62 answer sheets, but that were detected later on. The sources said that scanning work was being carried out by loaders (hired for loading work), adding that when matter came to the notice of higher-ups, several loaders were dismissed in a bid to hide the matter. “Only removal of some loaders is not enough. اسلام آباد: وفاقی حکومت نے ایک بار پھر سے پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں اضافہ کردیا ہے۔ وفاقی حکومت نے پیٹرول کی قیمت میں 9 روپے 99 پیسے کا بڑا اضافہ کردیا ہے جس کے بعد پیٹرول کی نئی قیمت 275روپے 60 پیسے ہوگئی ہے جبکہ ہائی اسپیڈ ڈیزل کی قیمت میں 6 روپے 18 پیسے کا اضافہ کیا گیا ہے جس کے بعد ڈیزل کی نئی قیمت دوسوتراسی روپے تریسٹھ پیسے ہوگئی ہے۔ عوام کا کہنا ہے کہ حکومت پیٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتیں بڑھا کر غریب لوگوں پر ایک اور بوجھ ڈال رہی ہے، عوام کا کہنا ہے کہ حکمران طبقہ عوام کا خیال نہیں کرتا بلکہ اپنی عیاشیوں میں مصروف رہتے ہیں۔

Govt decides to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said. واہ کینٹ عبدالصبور واہ کینٹ میں گرمی کی شدت میں اضافے کے ساتھ ہی بجلی کی طلب میں اضافہ ہوا تو غیر اعلانیہ لوڈشیڈنگ کا سلسلہ بھی شروع ہو گیا ہے.ایک طرف سورج آگ برسا رہا ہے دوسری طرف شہریوں کو لوڈشیڈنگ کا عذاب برداشت کرنا پڑ رہا ہے.معمولات زندگی اور کاروبار متاثر ہو رہے ہیں جبکہ کاروباری حضرات بھی پریشان ہیں. اس حوالے سے دکان داروں کا کہنا تھا کہ سخت گرمی میں بجلی نا ہونے سے سارا دن پریشان رہتے ہیں بجلی پر چلنے والے تمام کاروبار ٹھپ ہو کر رہ گئے ہیں ہمارے ورکر سارا دن بیٹھے رہتے ہیں اگر ایسا رہا تو چولہا کیسے جلے گا. اسی طرح شہریوں کا بھی کہنا تھا بجلی نہ ہونے کی وجہ سے پوری رات مچھروں کے ساتھ مقابلہ کرنا پڑتا ہے بچے پوری رات پریشان رہتے ہیں حکومت بھاری بل اور ٹیکس وصول کر رہی ہے مگر بجلی نہیں دے رہی.شہریوں نے حکومت سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ لوڈشیڈنگ فوری طور پر ختم کی جائے تاکہ ہماری پریشانی ختم ہو. Miftah Ismail and Shahid Khaqan Launch New Party ‘Awam Pakistan’
Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Miftah Ismail has announced the upcoming launch of his new political party, Awaam Pakistan (AP). Set to debut next month, Awaam Pakistan’s inaugural convener will be former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Notable figures joining include former PML-N leaders Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, Javed Abbasi, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Rana Zahid Tauseef, Zahid Binnouri, and Sardar Anwar Soomro. Additionally, former health minister Dr. Zafar Mirza and ex-MQM MNA Sheikh Salahuddin will bolster the party’s ranks. The launch event is scheduled for July 6 in Islamabad.
